Maite Seimetz
Information
Maïté Seimetz is a Luxembourgish architectural designer and artist whose work blends design, digital space, and speculative storytelling. A graduate of the Bartlett School of Architecture, she approaches design with the creative freedom of an artist, constructing surreal worlds and hybrid creatures that challenge traditional notions of coexistence.
Her work explores the shifting boundaries between humans, objects, and environments, often embracing the grotesque and uncanny. Utilizing digital sculpture, animation, 3D printing, and AV/VR technology, Seimetz transforms the physical into the digital and vice versa—creating immersive mutations that blur the line between the real and the imagined.
Seimetz’s practice is deeply rooted in performance and narrative, employing digital techniques to question materiality, presence, and transformation. By merging speculative design with theatricality, she offers fresh perspectives on how space, bodies, and technology interact within an ever-evolving digital landscape.
