Jenna Kaës is a French product designer whose work explores mysticism and memory through contemporary objects. While maintaining functionality, her creations challenge conventions by introducing expressive freedom and emotional depth. Kaës explores how objects can encapsulate personal and collective experiences, with a particular focus on themes of love, fear, and commemoration.
Her practice ranges from domestic objects—such as chandeliers, cups, and jewellery—to large-scale works, including stained glass windows for the Saint-Martin de Monthuchon church in Normandy and an artistic columbarium for La Chartreuse cemetery in Bordeaux.
Kaës studied at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin and earned a master’s degree in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship from ECAL in Switzerland. During her studies, she collaborated with prestigious brands like Hermès, Vacheron Constantin, and Mauviel, creating projects that celebrated artisanal craftsmanship.
In 2016, she was awarded the Vacheron Constantin Prize for her graduation project, developed in collaboration with Carmelite sisters. Her passion for traditional techniques also led her to a residency in Greenland, where she worked alongside Inuit artisans.
In January 2024, Kaës was honored as a Rising Talent Award winner, nominated by curator Jean de Loisy. Her work has been showcased at institutions including the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Villa Noailles, and the Musée des Abattoirs in Toulouse, as well as internationally at Schloss Hollenegg for Design in Austria, the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Genève, and the Château de Rochechouart in France.
